T20 World Cup 2022: Pakistan vs Zimbabwe – Predicted XI, Pitch & Weather report

Pakistan will take on Zimbabwe in the 24th match of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2022 at Optus Stadium in Perth on Thursday.

The Men in Green would be desperate for a win after facing a loss from arch-rivals India. Zimbabwe, on the other hand, would consider themselves fortunate as they got out away from what could be a possible defeat against South Africa.

Pitch and Weather report:

The track at Perth is expected to provide a lot of assistance to the pace bowlers, and the captain winning the toss will be looking to bowl first. There is no chance of rain interruptions during the course of the match, so fans can expect a full 40 overs of action.

Probable XIs:

Pakistan: Babar Azam (c), Mohammad Rizwan(w), Shan Masood, Haider Ali, Mohammad Nawaz, Shadab Khan, Iftikhar Ahmed, Asif Ali, Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf, Naseem Shah

Zimbabwe: Regis Chakabva(w), Craig Ervine(c), Wesley Madhevere, Sean Williams, Sikandar Raza, Milton Shumba, Ryan Burl, Luke Jongwe, Tendai Chatara, Richard Ngarava, Blessing Muzarabani

Recent form:

Pakistan: LWWLW (last five completed T20Is, most recent first)
Zimbabwe: WLWWL

What they said:

“The morale of the boys is high. We are trying to prepare for the next game and come back strong and remain in contention for this World Cup,” said Pakistan all-rounder Iftikhar Ahmed ahead of the match.

“I’m pretty sure Pakistan will be coming hard for us. The first five-six overs with the new ball has been challenging for every team. It’s a key area to get through,” said Zimbabwe captain Craig Ervine.
