Lloyd’s syndicate Ki names Catherine Barton as Commercial Director


Ki, the fully digital and algorithmically-driven Lloyd’s of London syndicate, has announced the appointment of Catherine Barton as its new Commercial Director.

Catherine BartonBarton’s addition to Ki’s Executive Management Committee will see her report directly to Mark Allan, the CEO of Ki.

In her role as Commercial Director, Barton will assume key responsibilities such as overseeing Ki’s financial performance, fostering strategic partnerships, and collaborating closely with the management team to execute Ki’s commercial strategy and growth initiatives.

Prior to joining Ki, Barton held the position of Chief Insurance Officer at Zego and served as the Chief Financial Officer at Talbot Underwriting Limited.

She has also held senior executive management roles at Bupa UK, and worked as a Partner at both EY and Deloitte. Barton is recognized as a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries and has previously served as a Non-Executive Director at Sabre Insurance Group from 2017 to 2021.
