CFC, a specialist insurance provider, has appointed Lori Marino to the newly created role of Distribution Leader, USA.
In this new role, Marino will be based out of New York, where she will hold responsibility for broker relationship management, as well as CFC’s distribution strategy across the US market.
She joins CFC with over 20 years of industry experience. Throughout her career, Marino has served in various senior leadership positions, including stints as Senior Vice President at major firms such as ACE USA, Crum & Forster, and Valiant Insurance.
In her most recent role, she served as Head of Carrier Relations and Revenue Growth at PCF Insurance Services and continues to hold several non-exec directorships within insurance.
Addressing her new role, Marino said: “CFC has always been the challenger in the market to watch, whether as a trailblazer in cyber or shaking up specialty lines such as digital healthcare and IP. I’m looking forward to working with their talented team as we deepen broker relationships, develop specific products for the American market and extend CFC’s reach throughout the US.”
Pat Brice, Distribution Director at CFC, commented: “This is a significant hire that will support our wider growth strategy and have immediate impact on service delivery across our surplus lines and admitted businesses.
“Lori will undoubtedly boost our US distribution and broker relationship capability, while working closely with our underwriting teams and the wider CFC business to ensure we continue to deliver an outstanding proposition for our US customers based on deep local knowledge.”
Shannon Groeber, CEO at CFC USA, added: “We’ve been serving US brokers and their customers for more than 20 years, and have grown our presence in the US market year on year over that time. We’ve reached a stage that warrants building out our US leadership team, and Lori’s deep industry experience and relationships will be incredibly valuable in helping us drive further adoption of both our surplus and admitted lines solutions throughout the country.”
CFC recently announced the expansion of its admitted product suite offerings with the additions of professional liability and technology E&O.
